farewell mel, farewell peru

After weeks and weeks of endless babel and supposedly artsy rhetoric, I will finally relieve you poor readers of Josh´s countless egotistical and caucky accounts of our adventures here down south. I will skip our day of bumming right after machupichu, and get to the stuff you care most about, AVI LEAVING. We were very sad blah blah, after waking up avi and giving a similar goodbye to the one of last summer (a groggy early morning handshake) we were off to white water rafting. After a 4 hour bus ride of cheesy 80´s music raeggetone, we arrived at our little campsite, josh and i, 2 danes, and 2 israelis(yes i know this could be the beggining of a joke). We got our crash course in rafting safety, and we were off, all geared up(helmet, wet suit, and jacket, veryyyyyy uncomfortable), and after manuvering through rapids with names as friendly as ¨tooth ache¨¨you first¨, we set out for a night of copious amounts of la cherossa(meat, french fries, onions, and tomatoes all stewed together, mmmmmmmmmmm) and campfire bumming around with our new friends. The next day of rafting led us through even crazier rapids followed by campsite games. We first had to spin around twenty times and then try to run through two paddles set up right next to the water, naturally, i flew into the water and soaked my last pair of dry clothes. Then we had to spin around 20 times and throw a stick o the floor, and try to jump over it. Now while this may sounddd simple NONE OF US were able to do it( most of us went flying to the right). After another night of bumming under the stars and more games, we came to our last day of rafting. After a celebratory BBQ we returned to our hostel, and now eagerly await our rendevouz at 10 30 to watch our video at the bar.
